V. 6. The Augur
putting his hand upon the head of the King |
|
This quatrain talks about the future of Cesar de Nostredame, the Jovialist. The first and the second verse describes a scene that involves Henry, Second and the Jovialist and the meaning is clear since Italy was invaded. The third verse is a reference to the last hand of the Jovialist (the left one) and in a figurative way announces that after being a religious leader, the Jovialist would change the kind of scepter he would carry. The fourth verse says that from the king (Henry, Second), would come the pacifist emperor (the Jovialist). |
