The slavish people through luck
in war |
|
This quatrain talks about the Communist revolution and also about Fidel Castro. The first verse cites the curious fact about the Communist revolution: they stayed on power for luck. The "heur martial" is a reference to Brest-Litovsk and the defeat of Germany on WWI. The points are the following: a) Lenin and various socialists, including Trotsky, have received money from the Kaiser by their activities against the war; inn fact there is a testimony of a person that stated that Lenin was registered as a German spy, acting as a double crosser and receiving money for those activities b) the Kaiser,
when the Communist Revolution won the power was trying to blackmail the
government by the activities of Lenin and some others d) when German
lost the war, the Kaiser pondered that if his name were associated with the
communist government in a anti-Semitic country he could be charged by this
association f) Lenin and the communists were kept on power since his betrayal was not divulged to the public So the "heur martial" was the defeat of Germany on WWI, which permitted Lenin and the communists be kept on power and in fact go to an "elevated level" before the world. The third verse is an irony because after Lenin came a provincial (Stalin) . The fourth verse says that the revolution would cross the sea (the Atlantic Ocean) and a copy of Stalin (Fidel) would be made on the "mounts (Sierra Maestra) |
