VIII.14
The great credit of gold
and abundance of silver |
|
This quatrain refers to Bill and Hillary Clinton and the
affair Bill/Monica Lewinsky.
The first verse says that people are prone to sacrifice moral values in exchange for economic gains. Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair was an opened question during several months and the impeachment of the former USA President was a real possibility, but the economic gains of Bill Clinton's administration were sufficient strong to make people - and as a consequence the judges and other republic powers - to set aside those moral considerations and keep the president on his charge. But that was not for free. The second verse says that the honor would be set aside and the interest of the public would be centered on Bill Clinton's affair, not on Hilary's suffering. |

The third verse says that the offense of adultery would be known and the fourth that Bill Clinton would be dishonored but not defeated. The history is very well known and the third verse seems to be accomplished in all its extension with the publication of Hillary's book. This quatrain was the first one we have interpreted during Bill Clinton's case in 1995. In our interpretation there was an error that was pointed on C03Q026 and also in thee Letter to Cesar and Henry, second. The details are explained in the Portuguese Version.
